If you're building a manga collection and want titles that deliver on every front — jaw-dropping art, unforgettable characters, and stories that hold up on reread — action manga is where to start. Here are our top picks, from ONE's legendary works to the titans of shonen.
1. One Punch Man Vol. 1–24 — The Complete Set You Need
One Punch Man by ONE and illustrated by Yusuke Murata is one of the best-selling manga series of all time — and for good reason. The premise is deceptively simple: a hero so powerful he defeats every enemy in a single punch. But beneath the comedy is a surprisingly deep meditation on purpose, strength, and identity. Murata's artwork is some of the most technically stunning in the industry.
